Desligando o computador com o Firefox

Se você utiliza o Firefox, precisa baixar arquivos grandes, mas não quer ficar acordado esperando os downloads terminarem para desligar o computador. Auto Shutdown é um complemento para Firefox que monitora seus downloads ativos e desliga automaticamente o computador depois que os downloads são concluídos.

O complemento já vem com scripts prontos para desligar, reiniciar e hibernar todas as versões do Windows, além de incluir também scripts prontos para desligamento do Linux e Mac.

Ele também permite que você execute automaticamente qualquer script (user scripts) após um determinado período de tempo de inatividade do computador e oferece a possibilidade de personalização dos scripts.

Auto Shutdown fornece muitas opções para configurar o desligamento do computador. Clicando com o botão direito do mouse no ícone da barra de status você tem acesso as opções de configuração do complemento.

Você pode ativar o Auto Shutdown direto na janela de download do Firefox ou clicando no ícone da barra de status do Firefox. Ao ativar o desligamento, o complemento detecta automaticamente o sistema operacional e utiliza o script de desligamento adequado.

Aquecimento da CPU resolvido


Consegui finalmente resolver o problema de aquecimento da minha CPU. O que estava ocorrendo é o seguinte: A fonte estava esquentando muito e desta forma o interior da CPU também , e o cooler da fonte aparentava estar normal. Foi ai que quase troquei a fonte pois pensava que poderia estar danificada para esquentar daquele jeito, porém antes disso resolvi trocar o cooler da fonte encontrado facilmente em qualquer casa de informática ( R$ 10,00 ) e para minha surpresa era onde estava o problema, pois o cooler antigo apesar de estar funcionando devia estar com muito pó em seu interior fazendo com que a rotação fosse prejudicada resolvendo assim o problema.
Já o Cooler que retirei da fonte fiz uma boa limpeza e em seguida passei um desingripante aquele mesmo que se passa em cadeados enferrujados, portas, etc e fiz um novo exaustor para CPU.
Muito fácil, rápido e principalmente econômico.

Processadores Intel - Temperatura e Especificações para cada Modelo

Olá pessoal !!!
estou com problema de aquecimento da minha máquina a ponto de chegar a 63°C a temperatura do processador. Estou verificando se consigo descobrir qual é a causa pois até então era normal.
Nos jogos que é necessário placa 3D, ele esquenta tanto que chega a travar. Aceito sugestões sobre o que possa ser o problema ( celeron D 2,26ghz placa nvidia FX6200, placa Asus p4S8X-MX).
Enquanto isso achei um site que mostra as temperaturas máximas para cada processador, assim como amperagem e voltagem que achei interessante postar sobre especificações sobre temperatura e voltagens dos processadores intel.

  • The Estimated Max Power Dissipation numbers are based on the fact that Intel estimates the power dissipation for various software applications and sets the Thermal Design Point as the upper limit for how far these applications might push the Pentium 4. Intel states: "Processor power dissipation simulations indicate a maximum application power in the range of 75% of the maximum power for a given frequency." So the Est Max Power Diss was calculated by dividing the TDP by 75%. However, it's unlikely the CPU will reach its maximum power dissipation since the processor will throttle down the CPU speed as it reaches past certain temperatures. And in the event of a catastrophic cooling failure (i.e. leaving off the heatsink), it would completely shut down the CPU.
  • If the on-Die thermal probe reaches approximately 135° C (its catastrophic temperature), the CPU will automatically shut down and "the system bus signal THERMTRIP# will go active and stay active until the processor has cooled down and a RESET# has been initiated."
  • The VR Down design guideline allows a Pentium 4 processor in the 478-pin package to decrease its voltage as amperage increases.
  • The low wattage Pentium 4 Northwood chips are intended for small form factor systems and are limited to less than 45W maximum power output.
  • Max Cover Temp (Tc) for Prescott is approximated from the thermal profile given in the datasheet.

  • Vmax is the maximum non-operating (failure) voltage.
  • Regarding the chip's wattage numbers, Intel states: "The [Thermal Design Power] numbers ... reflect Intel's recommended design point and are not indicative of the maximum power the processor can dissipate under worst case conditions."
  • If the on-Die thermal probe reaches approximately 135° C (its catastrophic temperature), the CPU will automatically shut down and "the system bus signal THERMTRIP# will go active and stay active until the processor has cooled down and a RESET# has been initiated."
  • Core voltage varies with the amount of amperage being pulled by the CPU. Which is why the Prestonia's VID voltage (1.5v) is actually higher than it's maximum rated voltage (the chip will never actually be run at its VID voltage except under no-load conditions).
  • Max Processor Power for the Xeon MP is the "maximum thermal power that can be dissipated by the processor through the integrated heat spreader."
  • In Sep 2002, electrical numbers for the 2.6 and 2.8GHz Prestonia chips changed. Not sure why. Voltage limits were adjusted slightly downward. Amperage went up. Wattage decreased and max Tcase went up.
  • Tcase for the Nocona CPUs is the thermal solution design point (Tcase_maxB), though the TCC on the chip will not allow the processor to exceed Tcase_maxA.
  • For Tulsa chips Icc_Max is based on Vcc_Max loadline.
